• Stage Acting
  Appeared on Broadway in such plays as A Moon for the Misbegotten and Good Woman of Setzuan.
• Off-Broadway: Circle in the Square production of The Iceman Cometh, Threepenny Opera at Theatre deLys, and ten other plays Toured with West Wide Story, I Can Get It for You Wholesale, among other musicals
  Actor in principal roles in fifteen productions in Hawaii.
• Film and TV Acting
  Appeared on all the major live TV dramas of the 1950's shot in NYC, including two major motion pictures in starring or feature roles.
  Appeared in many TV series shot in Hollywood 1961-1965, including Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Combat, 77 Sunset Strip, Johnny Stacatto, Outer Limits, Gallant Men.
  District Attorney John Manicote in Hawaii 5-0 for 10 years, Dr. Ibold in Magnum PI for 8 years, and principal appearances on Jake and the Fatman, Miracle Landing, and other TV series and films shot in Hawaii.
  President of the Hawaii branch of Screen Actors Guild,1989-present.

Professor Cannon studied with Lee Strasberg, Uta Hagen , Bobby Lewis,1955-1958 and from 1965-68 was resident director-actor-teacher at Stanford Repertory Theatre, Stanford University. He has been a teacher of Acting and Directing at the University of Hawaii from 1968-present.
