Peggy Ryan
Peggy Ryan played McGarrett's secretary Jenny Sherman from 1969 to 1976. At that time she was married to columnist Eddie Sherman who also appeared in a few episodes as...a reporter! She started her career as a dancer and appeared with Mickey Rooney in many of his early movies. After leaving Hawaii, Peggy moved to Las Vegas where we heard she was teaching tap dancing. On June 3, 2003 I received an email from Jackie McDaniel who related this about Peggy!
"I just happened onto your website about Hawaii Five-0 and was looking at the "Secretaries" portion of it. You were asking who the different secretaries were.
"I live in Las Vegas, NV and am part of a dance group called Peggy Ryan and the TNT Dancers. I know that Peggy played the part of Jenny while she was linving in Hawaii with husband Eddie Sherman.
"She still performs (and still has great legs). We do an annual show for the reunion of the Jiving Jacks and Jills in Thousand Oaks, CA. We are a group of career women that Peggy has taught to dance over the years and we are good at it too! Among other things, we have been featured on the Tonight Show and in the National Enquirer."
Way to go, Peggy!!!

Do you remember the original Jenny? In the episode To Hell With Babe Ruth, Jenny was played by Patricia Tuscano Barnes. Born on January 21, 1939, Pat grew up in her hometown of Newcastle, PA and after her high school graduation moved with her family to Fort Pierce, FL where she attended business school. She worked as a secretary during the day and studied modern jazz dance at night.
When her family returned to Pennsylvania, Pat joined the Newcastle Playhouse, a community theatre group, for three years. She starred in Damn Yankees and appeared in other productions in leading and supporting roles and interspersed her acting with publicity, lighting, and property-master duty.
Her Hawaii Five-0 role was her professional acting debut. (from a Paramount Biography)
